The first in the Star Wars Anthology series has finally hit the big screen, and after years of scrutiny and doubt, we can finally pass our own judgement.

Twin Peaks Season 1

Season 1 of Twin Peaks aired 26 years ago in 1990, so obviously I'm going to discuss my thoughts and feelings on a show that's half a decade older than myself, on a website that's just a baby compared to Twin Peaks.



Set in the aptly named mountaneous town of Twin Peaks, located within sleepy North Washington, we follow the lives of a whole host of characters in the days and weeks leading on from the mysterious murder of beloved high school student Laura Palmer.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Review

The long-awaited Harry Potter spin off is here! Many, including myself, weren't too excited by the prospect of more Harry Potter, for me it was as we already have an incredible story from that universe. Not only that, it was a complete and cohesive story, and after The Cursed Child (my thoughts on which you can watch here) I wasn't feeling too optimistic. Nor was I enthused by the announcement of there being 5 films in this series, and I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

Captain America: Civil War Spoiler Free Review

I'm going preface this with saying that Civil War may be my favourite Marvel film yet. Better than 2012's The Avengers, better than Iron Man 3, hell even better than The Winter Soldier! The only one it may not beat for me is Captain America: The First Avenger, but I just love that film so much.

Civil War has been dubbed 'Avengers 2.5', and after seeing this film I fully understand that. We have a whole host of characters, new and old, rather than the typical 'stand-alone' Marvel affair, which would feature 1 or 2 of the Avengers. However, unlike The Winter Soldier, we aren't seeing just Steve and Natasha fight together, we're seeing the Avengers (and some newcomers), splitting into two factions and facing off over conflicting views on a piece of legislation affecting their activities as protectors of the world.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Spoiler Free Review!

Last night, at 00:01, I sat in a theatre completely sold out, full of Star Wars fans anticipating the start of The Force Awakens, the 7th film in the Star Wars series, and the 7th chronologically.

The film is set 30 years after Return of the Jedi, which left the Empire crushed, however now, the First Order has risen, and the rebel alliance has had to evolve into the Resistance to survive. We follow a mix of fresh faces and well known old friends in the fight to bring peace to the galaxy once more.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Review (Spoiler free)

The other night, my roommates and I went to go see Mockingjay Part 2 at midnight! This was a LONG awaited event for me, as I've been hooked ever since I heard of the first film, and read the books in the week The Hunger Games came out in UK cinemas. And now it's finally come to an end!

This will be spoiler free, as far as possible, I don't want to give any plot points away.

Why you should care about Agent Carter

Agent Carter is finally coming to the UK, here's a little intro and why you should give a shit about this.

If you don't know, Agent Carter centres around Agent Peggy Carter, who assisted to end the war with people such as Captain America, settles into a post-war life in New York city, working for the S.S.R. And despite being so incredibly important in ending the war, Peggy is put down constantly for being a woman. Her achievements in the war are boiled down to a love affair with Captain America by most. And her daily routine has shifted from saving lives and kicking Nazi ass to collecting the lunch orders of all the men in the office. And obviously, Peggy is unsatisfied with that and goes and kicks ass.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Review and Discussion

Hello everyone!


Last night, I went to the midnight showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I am a HUGE Marvel fan, specifically of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so the wait for Avengers 2 has killed me. I adore the first film, and whilst the plot of Avengers 1 is nothing special, it holds a special place in my heart for simply being awesome.

Goodbye Parks and Recreation.

I'm writing this on February 24th 2015, today is the day that the Parks and Recreation season 7 finale, which is also the series finale, airs in the U.S. As of this, I have not seen the episode yet!


I only got into Parks and Recreation very recently, I watched episode 1 on New Year's Eve 2014, and I fell completely head over heels in love with the show. Well, I was actually underwhelmed by the pilot, but by the time I hit season 2, I knew that this was going to become one of my favourite TV shows ever.

Star Wars

Somehow I managed to make it until age 19 without ever having seen any Star Wars films, or any of the TV shows, or literally ANYTHING to do with it.

Last week that all changed, when I watched Star Wars. Or later renamed, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. (What is it with George Lucas and changing film names?! I'm looking at you Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)

I fell completely in love with it. Even with it's 38 year old special effects. Everything about it felt so immersive and so great.


So great I had to buy the poster.
