WOW this month has gone so fast. That's more terrifying than anything because what do I have to show for April 2014? I watched Agent Carter and oh so many Marvel films for the one millionth time.
And despite my constant tweets, I was not invited to the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere by Marvel. Looks like I need to sell my soul to Thanos to make it.
Mark my words, I will be on the red carpet for Infinity War!!
Anyway, I spent the vast, vast majority of April listening to old Maroon 5 albums because I'm a white middle-aged mom who spends her afternoons sat on the Missouri river.
This month has been an amazing month for music, and I really wanted to get this out while I had time. By that I mean whilst I wait for my dad to come pick me up from university because I don't think I can carry this suitcase full of textbooks any further than straight to the car.
Anyway yes, I've gotten into tons of new music this month that I cannot wait to share with you right here!
I started this month with listening to Misterwives, a band I'd never listened to before! Their album, Our Own House, is so upbeat and uplifting, it's been really great to listen to on the way to and from university. The titular song, 'Our Own House' is my favourite, I also really like 'Best I Can Do'.
I probably should have posted this in February, rather than on 4th March.
Especially as now all the music I'm listening to can't go onto this post! I have to wait until next month!
I generally intend to make this a Spotify thing, linking my personal playlist at the end, updated with all of the songs I have been obsessed with throughout the month, however for the majority of February, I was listening to an album that isn't on Spotify.
And you can probably guess what album that is, from the last sentence there.
Yes, I have been obsessed with 1989 by Taylor Swift. And I'm only a million months late to it!
First of all, I want to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you who have been reading this. I've become so much active on here, and it's paying off. This blog has gone from having 4-7 views a day to 50 on average. Yesterday it was almost 100! That's crazy! I hope you'll all stick around while I babble on about things.
Secondly I just wanted to talk about the new blog layout! I revamped it quite a bit last night. As much as I loved the old layout, it didn't look or feel completely right. This layout feels much more clean. I still have a fair bit of work to do on it, but I think it looks good enough for now!
Thirdly, I think my new blog goal is 5 posts a week. I may do these Monday to Friday, but I'm not sure yet. That won't be starting just yet, as I have an exam Tuesday, so depending on how things are going, there may not be a post Monday and maybe there will be weekend posts. Who knows.
This whole paragraph just became a disclaimer for 'I think I know what I'm doing, but I'm not 100%, but I want the feeling of accomplishment from committing to a goal'.
