The end of the year is nigh, and that means only one thing, Spotify's 2017 Wrapped has arrived! It's time to look back at a year of music and what we've wrapped our ears around over the last 12 months.
I love these stats and document them every year, here's 2015's and 2016's if you're interested!
May has been my least favourite month of music in 2017 thus far. It's not been a bad month by any stretch of the imagination, but the first 4 really delivered. However, I've still listed my favourite fire tracks of the month here, and there have been some GREAT ones.
Get ready for a bumper edition of New Music of the Month! There have been loads of amazing new tracks released the last couple of weeks and there's no better place to catch them all than right here!
This stripped back track from Banks (say that four times fast) is the anti-thesis to songs like 'Brain' which we know her so well for. This song is built to chill too, but it feels like such a 'real' and tough track.
The best version of a song isn't always the 'regular' version. Take the first song in this list as an example, you always heard the Lana Del Rey x Cedric Gervais remix of 'Summertime Sadness' rather than the original! Both are great, that's not to say I don't love some Lana Del Rey on her own, I well and truly do.
Anyway, let's get on with it! This list includes remixes, covers, acoustic versions, other performances, anything that isn't the regular!
Lana Del Rey + Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness Remix
This reminds me of being freshly 18 and going out clubbing with my friends all the time to bask in being able to drink alcohol legally. This was on all the time that summer, and I always had it on repeat, even though I would usually take a Lana solo song over anything like this.
