Graduation

So two weeks ago I graduated from university. I'm extremely pleased to be able to say I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first in law with accounting and finance.

I didn't put too much weight on choosing a university, and pretty much just chose one that was close to home. I'm very lucky that this paid off, it could have been a terrible mistake, but I realised just how much I love Liverpool, even if I was pretty familiar with it beforehand, and I found a solid group of brilliant people I'm proud to call friends.

It's funny, I felt like I knew Liverpool before I lived there, but it turns out I really didn't. Even after two years of living there, I don't know if I can say I truly know it- new places pop up all the time, and there's just so much to do that it's impossible to do it all, but I think I make a pretty damn good effort.

ExDirectory | Liverpool's Secret Bar

This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of going to ExDirectory, a bar that has only been open for just over a week now in Liverpool.

The thing is, this is a bar with a twist. Last week, a post went up on the Liverpool Echo about this new secret bar, and within minutes, it was Trending in Liverpool and everyone was going MAD about it!

Why you ask? Because the bar is disguised as a phone box, with no location given. This is in a city with hundreds of red phone boxes. The phone number is not explicitly stated, even though probably a hundred or so are listed, leaving you to work out which (if any) is correct.

Oh Me Oh My // Goodness Gracious

The week before last I went to Oh Me Oh My, a restaurant on Water Street in Liverpool.

There's an amazing roof garden terrace, so we naturally ate up there, even though it was a very overcast day and started raining while we were there.

STILL SO WORTH IT THOUGH.

Also I'm still getting used to using Calvin the camera, and most of my photos were overexposed (like the Maroon 5 album, yes) but these ones were salvageable! Sadly most of the pictures of the view were too awful. So you're just gonna have to visit to see it for yourself!!

I also had an amazing burger, which they BBQ there!! On the roof! In the middle of a city!! Well, it's kinda at the edge of the city. Isn't it weird how in most cities, the city centre IS the centre, but with Liverpool, the city centre is where the city ends, as it's on a river! Weird right?!
